bah!

Its spring break up here in Idaho therefore, I didnt have to be woken up at 645 to sub! YAY! Monday came lots of fun with working at the mall. Tuesday I went with a friend to 27 dresses (my second time seeing it, first with my cousin chelsea), Wednesday I went to the mall with my favorite person Brett! It was so much fun, I often forget how much I love hanging out with him! Then this morning my mom needed a ride to work, so I slipped on my flip flops and headed upstairs. In opening the door I almost began to cry. The wind was blowing and whipping around the newly fallen inch of snow- which the first layer had turned to ice. Overcome with hysterics I calmly walked to my car and started it after grabbing my BYUI blanket out of the backseat and covering my chilled legs. We headed off towards Idaho Falls where I drove about 35 the whole time (the speed being 50) and as we hit a curve started fish tailing. The freeway wasnt so bad and neither was the drive home.

Where did spring go!?

Then I went to get mom around 5 and I had to hit the bank. (oh by this time all the snow was gone and left the famous Idaho chilly wind that whips around you and freezes all your senses to the bone) We left around 5:30 and I started driving in the country roads where the speed is 50. For about 1/2 a mile the speed is 40 which I typically ignore and drive 50ish... Yeah, you guessed it! Hello mr. officer and I get pulled over about 30 feet from the 50 sign. He clocked me at 54 in a 40 (I dont even want to imagine that ticket). So he comes up and gets my info and goes back to the car. Im sitting there, almost in tears because I had kinda a rough day. My mom isnt saying much, and me holding back the curse words. He comes back and says, Angela, its your lucky day. Slow down and have a nice day.

For maybe the tenth time in my life Im speechless.

I love county cops.

Then this evening I went to Blackfoot for a POD activity (a bunch of single branches get together since we're all branches). On the way home, I seriously have no idea what I was on, but my friend has a sun roof... well... 55 on the highway does murder to your hair. I was dancing and singing like a crazy person and standing up all the way home. Im cant imagine me high or on drugs....

I'd like to take some space to complain for a moment.
Disclaimer: the following is not to hurt or cause any harm to anyone. These are my personal thoughts and therefore I do not pass judgement onto those who disagree with them.
Yeah, I better make a disclaimer. So lately a lot of my friends/family have been getting engaged/married, which is normal for my age group and also because I typically have older friends. Also, I have known several couples in the past 3 or so years get divorced.

Is there such a thing as "hormonal revelation?" Living in the "mormon belt" and have lived in BYU-I do, I know the pressure that people my age feel to get married. Hec, I was almost engaged my Jr/Sr years in high school. To fulfill happiness we are required to be married in the temple and have families. I love the gospel and the everlasting life/joy/families that are incorporated with it. I just wonder if sometimes pressure of having to get married gets to people and then they rush into marriage. Honestly, isnt marriage hard enough without adding the fact that you two hardly know eachother, but have received revelation to get married? I ask, why not wait? Adam and I had about a 2 hour conversation, him siding that if you know its right, why wait? me saying, why rush? basically it ended badly having to agree to disagree. Close friends of Spencer and I recently got divorced after 4 months of marriage. They had known eachother for years but apparently it didnt work out. My thoughts are; date longer than your engaged. Another example: they met and started dating in June. Engaged July 4th. Married August 19 or something. THATS 3 MONTHS OF EVEN KNOWING EACHOTHER AND THEY'RE MARRIED! Thats fast, really really fast. Im not against marriage or anything of the sorts. Im all for it, in my expirience and in seeing other peoples relationships, I figure save yourself in the long run and know someone before marrying them. Even if you spend everyday with eachother for 3 weeks- your still in "new love" "twitterpation" stage, and let the relationship evolve and get to know eachother, whats the rush? Eternity is a long time.

All this coming from the non-dating girl. :) And no Jace, Im not too picky. I actually enjoy being single.

i hate plane tickets...

Well, the cruise has been booked, but the plane tickets and the hotels have yet to be scheduled. The hotel isnt really a problem, but the plane tickets are retarded. The best deals have been around just over half the cost of the cruise itself- we think its ridiculous. We keep checking online nearly everynight hoping to find some kind of an amazing deal but we havent. Kristy and I have never really done this so we arent really sure what we're doing. All we know is that we will be leaving from SLC to MIA (or Ft Lauderdale) on June 21 and returning around July 2, and we're going on the Carnival Valor to the Western Caribbean.
If anyone has any tips for finding the best prices or are willing to donate skymiles or business travel expense deals it would be grately appreciated. We figure that if one of us has a cheaper or free ticket we'll just divide the total cost between the 3 of us and it'll be cheaper all around.

Nothing really happened today... I went to both my jobs, decided Im going to look like a heroine addict and start donating plasma (the liquid form of your blood that cannot be chemically produced) for cash, and Im going to get another part time, night job. Maybe work in a hotel since I have expirience... who knows really.

Its time to party!

We got home about 2 hours ago from our trip to utah for grandpas 80 birthday party. It was pretty much amazing, even with the random snow fall. It was great to see the family and catch up. On the way home today we stopped off at Murray High School. I remember going to the dedication whenever it happened, but I have a horrible memory and wanted to get a picture of the scoreboard.

Then we drove to Ogden to visit Pat, Jess, and Brayden. We visited their new house which they'll be moving into this week. Its a really nice community with a pool! Im thinking swim party (that is if the snow goes away and the weather is decent). Dad and I are planning on going down Wednesday night after he gets off work and help them pack and move on Thursday. That way I can go visit my friend Kara who had her 2nd baby last month and maybe an old roommate- yes thats you Shayla!

Here are a couple pictures from the boise trip with grandpa- they arent great, I took them with my camera making it impossible to go on the video, sorry!

Heres my Glenn Beck flashlight that I keep forgetting to put on..

Tired

This is where I am at.
*Financially- I was able to pay of the majority of bill except for my car and tuition- which is a miracle within itself. Im not going back to BYUI because I cant afford it and its not really for me.
*Socially- Honestly, I have 1 friend here in Shelley. I love her to deather and do most everything with her. I have a couple other friends that I chill with occasionally, but we're all so busy that its pretty rare.
*Romantically- I dont date. Pretty much that says it all. I dont date cause there is no one to date. At least, no one that are up to my standards. And I do not see the point in driving 45 minutes to college, BYU-I do, town just to some interaction with the opposite sex when Im just not feeling it.
*Work wise- Im insane. I have 2 jobs right now, I work as a substitute teacher about 3 days a week, and I work around 30 hours at the mall. Im considering taking up another job to fill in the hours Im not at school or the mall. I figure since I have no social life I might as well be making som massive cash right?
*Vacationally- I've havent been on a real vacation since August or something- okay let me rephrase, I havent been anywhere without a tight schedule of needing to be here at this time, do this there, and somehow we'll accomplish all this. I really just want to go visit my friends and chill with them for a bit. My friend kara just had her 2nd son and I really need to see her. But, my time is dictated from minute to minute it seems and so I doubt it'll happen (not to mention the lack of car).
*Climateically- its cold. Im sick of being cold. In rebellion to the weather I have discontinued the use of my coats and have instilled flip flops daily. Luckily Im inside most of the day and so I dont completely freeze.
*Goals and such- pretty much, I wanna go on a cruise this may. Move somewhere outside of Idaho (I know, a completely original idea) where its warm and cozy. Where I can work and go to beauty school and not be broke. My car would magically fix all its stupid quirks which were endearing to begin with, now have become just irritating, and things to actually do with friends. My cousin Anna came up on Saturday and we had no idea what to do other than- Bowling, Go-karts, and Wal Mart. Its sad when Wal Mart dons the top 3.

Im thinking not to write at night anymore because it sounds like a small "woe is me" fest. This post really isnt for anyone- just for me to put things into perspective. If you have any thoughts or whatev dont hesitate to add them!

Sleeping in till noon...

Up in Rexburg I was in bed by midnight every night- usually passed out sleeping. Now that Im home now, I stay up till all times in the morning doing- well, a whole lot of nothing. Facebook is extremely addicting. This confuses me because at school I had things to do, but at home, where I have nothing Im up later. Whatever, I guess its just a "phase." Today I slept till noon because, well, it felt good to. Then I watched ghost hunters and freaked myself out and had to watch What I like about you, and Gilmore Girls to un-freak myself so I could get ready for work. Today was fast and slow.
Yesterday was my managers birthday so we went to Applebees, (3rd time this week, seriously, is there no other restaraunts?!) and I got home around 12:15. Tomorrow I work with special ed, im really nervous. I dont know if Ill be able to handle it. Well, its almost 1 and school starts at 8! Love your faces!

4 days in review

On Friday we drove to SLC to pick up grandma and grandpa to drive them up to Boise for grandpas award at the state game. It was a really long drive there on Saturday- I slept maybe an hour, and the rest of it grandma told me that she "was reading" aka, shut up ange... but it was a good time. We got there around 2:30 (its a 5 hour drive maybe 5 1/2 - anyone who says otherwise is on crack) checked in and did all that fun stuff. Adam and I got lost in Nampa- one of the worst planned cities I have ever been to. We drove around for 45 minutes to find a subway, and when we did it was across the street in the Wal Mart... Then at 8 Adam and I walked over to watch the game which neither of us were interested in. At half time we went to the floor. It was in the Idaho Center - I think one of the biggest arenas in Idaho? Anyway, they started announcing the presentation. Most people were uninterested at first, but when they caught the drift everyone started to stand- I got the chills. They were standing for my grandpa! For pretty much all of it the clapping didnt stop. They made all these 80 year old men walk up and down the court. I dont remember the guys' name, but he helped grandpa along, which Dad and Adam and I were really appreciative of. Then they took the teams picture with their new banner that will hang in Preston High School. I was really happy I was there. Grandpa got another plack for the wall and a medal.
A couple hours after my friend came and picked me up and took me back to her apartment at BSU where we hung out. We then went over to our friends' house where they were all trashed and I drove around on a mo-ped, and yes, I want one of my own now. It was good to see them and then my friend drove me back.
Sunday was eventful... we drove to Ogden for Braydens birthday where we went to dinner and had cake and ice cream. I cant believe how big he is! Its just not fair. Hes been running a fever for the past couple of days, but we think its cause hes teething.
Pat and Jess drove the grandparents back to midvale, and we drove through Logan back to Idaho Falls so we could drop Adam off. We got home around 1030, Ive never been so glad to be home! Dad and I had really sore butts from the back of the Derango.
Well today I started my 2nd job at Vanity in the mall. Its super easy and I know my manager from high school so its totally chill. I bought clothes with my new discount which Im feeling slightly guilty for, but oh well! Now Im Sub part time and Im at the mall part time. Maybe Ill get a 3rd job?? who knows!
